Egypt FA write to FIFA for explanations after Mo Salah removes all mention of Egypt from social media after they failed to vote for him in FIFA's Best awards
Mohamed Salah may not be in good terms with Egypt's FA after the country's votes for FIFA player of the year awards were deemed invalid and therefore did not count towards the striker's overall tally in the Awards held this week where he came fourth behind Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Van Dijk, missing out by 20 points.
The Egyptian FA has written to world football governing body, FIFA, to explain the problem, after star player Mohammed Salah deleted everything about Egypt from his Twitter account after it was revealed the Egyptian FA didn't vote for him in the recenty held FIFA Best player of the year awards.
The Egyptian FA insist they voted for Salah as their player of the year and have urged FIFA to diffuse the tension that now exists between them and their star player, Salah.
Salah took to his Twitter account to post a cryptic post criticizing the Egyptian FA
"Whatever they do to try to change my love for Egypt, they will not succeed,"
His Twitter bio now reads "Footballer for Liverpool FC".
FIFA has since explained why some votes for Mohamed Salah to win The Best FIFA Men's Player award were not counted in a statement released to Omnisport on Thursday.
The governing body said: "During the monitoring of the votes submitted by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on August 15, it was remarked that the signatures on the voting forms were in capital letters and thus seemed not valid (not authentic). The voting forms were also not signed by the general secretary which is mandatory."
FIFA added the President's Office of the EFA, which has undergone recent structural changes, was contacted about the issue, with no response received in time for the votes to count.

PSG thrash Real Madrid 3-0 while Atletico Madrid deny Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus a win in UEFA Champions League
It was a busy and entertainment filled Wednesday night in European football as PSG without star names Neymar, Edison Cavani and Mbappe defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in Paris while Atletico Madrid pegged back Juventus 2-2 after surprisingly conceding 2 goals first.
Di Maria scored the first two goals of the match with near finishes while Munier ended Madrid's misery in the closing minutes with an attacking display that made Real Madrid's defenders look like kindergarten kittens...
In the end, PSG ran out comfortable winners in this opening group game, and fully deserved the victory . Madrid were unlucky on some occasions especially with Benzene and Gareth Bale efforts but they were lacking in quality across the pitch.
Embattled coach, Zinedine Zidane will have some difficult questions to answer, especially as the PSG during the away fixture will definitely have their star names Mbappé, Neymar and Cavani fully charged for the return leg.
Meanwhile in Madrid, goals from S. Savic and Hector Herrera helped level the scores for Atletico after Cristiano Ronald's team scored through Cuadrado and Blaise Matuidi, all four goals coming in the second half.
Atletico have been tipped as potential favourites to win the competition this season, and looked lively in the early stages as Joao Felix's rattled the Juve defence which had new boy De ligt holding down things.
