Former US President, Bill Clinton is full of praise for 8-year-old Tanitoluwa Adewumi, who won a New York state chess championship.
Tanitoluwa was displaced from his home and became a refugee in the United States. He lives in a New York City homeless shelter but, in spite of his situation, went on to impress the world at the chess competition.

Bill Clinton praised him for his talent and has invited him and his parents to his office.
Bill Clinton tweeted:

“Refugees enrich our nation and talent is universal, even if opportunity is not.”

This story made me smile. Tanitoluwa, you exemplify a winning spirit – in chess and in life. And kudos to your hardworking parents. You all should stop by my office in Harlem; I'd love to meet you.
