A petrol bomb exploded inside AEK's stadium as visiting fans of Ajax got involved in bloody clashes with police and Greek supporters ahead of Tuesday night Champions League's clash in Greece.
After the petrol bomb exploded, Riot police were quickly deployed to deal with the trouble as a fire raged inside Greece's Olympic stadium following the shocking the explosion ahead of the early kick-off.
The officers managed to curb the disorder in time for kick-off as they dispersed AEK fans, who threw plastic bottles including flares at visiting supporters.
No death was reported but some fans sustained injuries ahead of the group E match which ended with AEK Athens losing 2 - 0 to Ajax at home.
