Barcelona has signed Brazilian winger Malcom from Bordeaux for 45.5million pounds after the star who was supposed to head to Roma made a dramatic U-turn.
The Spanish club paid £36.5m plus £9m in add-ons for the 21-year-old, who Roma had announced his signing but failed to board a flight to the Italian capital to officially seal the deal.
Malcom reportedly cancelled his Monday night flight to Rome, leaving expectant fans disappointed at the airport before it was announced that he was going to join Barcelona instead.
He flew into Barcelona today and signed a five-year deal until the end of the 2022-23 season.
The Brazilian winger player will undergo a medical on Wednesday morning before joining the Barcelona squad for their US Tour.
