Girls' education activist and Nobel prize winner, Malala Yousafzai who narrowly avoided death after being shot by the Taliban for defending the right of girls to attend school, has gained a place to study at the University of Oxford.
Malala, 20, revealed that she has been accepted to study philosophy, politics and economics (PPE) at the prestigious institution after receiving her A-level results.
She tweeted a screenshot of the confirmation and wrote; "So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students - the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!"
