Okorocha, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, is supporting his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance against the governorship candidate of the APC, Senator Hope Uzodinma. The act earned Okorocha a suspension from the party last week.

'The violence we saw in Lagos during the presidential elections was more of a tribal war than a political battle' - Singer Skukipeeshaun

One half of singing duo, Skuki, Peeshaun has just shared his opinion on the recent violence witnessd in some areas in Lagos during the presidential elections describing it as 'more of a tribal war than a political battle'.

According to him, 'this is not a political post or a tribalistic one. It’s an awareness post, so you know the motivation that the political thugs are being fed with'.

Follow his thread below...
The violence we saw in LAGOS during the presidential elections was more of a TRIBAL WAR than a POLITICAL BATTLE. Pls read on...

Do you guys remember in 2015, when the Eze-Ndigbos (Igbo elders) paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of lagos?
18 people are talking about this
There was insinuations from the Igbo elders that the person they wanted for Lagos governor was PDP’s Jimi Agbaje

The Oba of Lagos did not like the vibes he was getting and urged the Igbo elders to support his own candidate, which was APC’s Ambode.

That was the time the Oba of Lagos said any Igbo person who doesn’t support a peaceful and united Lagos would be thrown into the Lagos lagoon

Fast forward to 2019, this GROWING CONFLICT has surfaced again

Lagos is the fastest growing among the 36 Nigerian states

A lot of Igbos are settled here (Lagos) and they wish to hold higher significant positions in this booming state.

Part of the frustration of some YORUBA CULTURAL LEADERS is that- Why do the Igbos want to have a say in the political affairs of Lagos (a Yoruba state) when Yorubas dare not go to Igbo-land and attempt to dictate political affairs there.
See SKUKI PEESHAUN's other Tweets
The Igbos have an affiliation with PDP, and they know that a PDP government in Lagos would favor their personal agendas

So the plan is to support PDP into getting Lagos state back!

With the high population of Igbos living in Lagos, PDP would get a lot of votes from the tribe.

Yoruba cultural leaders fear that, if care is not taken, the Igbos would break all cultural barriers and eventually snatch Lagos state from the Yorubas and install only their brothers into powerful positions in the state

Hundreds of people flee as pipeline explodes in Bayelsa State

Hundreds of people flee as pipeline explodes in Bayelsa State
A major Nigerian oil pipeline has exploded forcing nearby residents to flee and raising suspicions of possible sabotage.
The Nembe Creek Trunk pipeline runs from an oil terminal in Bonny to Bayelsa State with capacity of 150,000 barrels per day.
“We have not been officially briefed on the incident, but it occurred. No lives were lost as a result of the explosion and we can’t confirm if it was an attack by militants or an equipment failure unless the people managing the facility go there” to determine the cause" Bayelsa State Police spokesman Asinim Butswat told AFP.
Ndiana-Abasi Mathew, a public relations official for Aiteo, the company that manages the pipeline, confirmed the incident in a text message on Saturday. “There is no official statement at the moment but I can gladly inform you that the fire has been contained and no lives were lost,” Mathew said.
Nigerian pipelines are prone to accidents and are sometimes pierced by people who refine the oil themselves to sell on the informal market. The explosion could also be the result of a criminal act after the re-election of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

Beckham's former Galaxy coach Bruce Arena and teammate Robbie Keane, as well as Beckham's wife, Victoria, attended the ceremony.

“From day one when myself, Victoria, and the kids arrived in this city we felt at home and for that we will be forever grateful. This city has always felt like home for me. My wife, my kids, my parents, and my friends, I couldn't have had the career I had without the support from you guys” said Beckham.

Beckham made headlines around the world when he moved to the United States in 2007 after an illustrious career at Manchester United and Real Madrid. His Galaxy deal was widely reported to be for US$250 million over five years, but in reality the $250 million figure was his potential earnings from salary, endorsements and club revenue. His base salary was $6.5 million a year but he was promised a percentage of Galaxy revenues.
Beckham played for the Galaxy until 2012, taking league titles in his final two campaigns, during a career that also featured a stop with England's national team.
